Meet Kyle Benson
Hi, I'm Kyle
(he / him)
I am a couples and AASECT Certified Sex Therapist. My passion is helping couples create secure functioning relationships. My therapeutic approach is based on The Gottman Method, Emotionally Focused Therapy, Attachment Theory, and Polyvagal theory. As a research nerd, I love using evidence-based practices to support change in relationships.
I became a couples and sex therapist because I know what it’s like to not be in a secure relationship. My own therapeutic journey was transformative for me in learning how to co-create a secure relationship with my partner.
If you choose to work with me, we will work together to come up with therapeutic goals and steps to bring healing, change, and transformation to your life. To support long-term changes, I highly encourage significant others to participate in the therapy process.
I am non-monogamous and BDSM-friendly. I provide therapy in English.
When I’m not sitting with clients, I am reviewing the latest research on relationships and sexual intimacy to uncover practical tools for fostering a secure and healthy connection. I was a researcher in Dr. John Gottman’s Love Lab and still help SPAFF code couple’s conversations. You can check out my articles below.
Fun Facts: I drink way too much coffee on a daily basis because it taste so good. I call Florida my home, and when the weekend rolls around, you can spot me cruising in a golf cart, enjoying the tunes of reggae, or BBQing with friends and family.

Kim brings a listening ear and so much wisdom as she counsels. You can dump your stuff and she’s not phased by it. She’s a great partner in the healing process. We could all use another counseling session with Kim!
