Meet Natalie Wood
Hi, I'm Natalie
(she/her)
I am a relational and individual therapist utilizing Emotion Focused Therapy, Internal Family Systems, and Narrative Therapy to help clients understand their stories, history of trauma, and how we make meaning. I have a certificate in Sex Therapy and strive to create an environment where sex and pleasure are safe (and fun!) to explore.
As a systems thinker, I believe we all exist in context. We exist within relationships to self, partners, community, culture, and the ever-evolving narratives that shape us. I work with clients navigating identity shifts brought on by trauma, new-to-them disabilities, neurodivergence, changes in gender or sexual identity, or life transitions that prompt the question: Who am I now? If you’re feeling overwhelmed by ambiguity or uncertainty in this process, therapy can be a place to reflect, get curious, and find a path forward—with a little humor along the way.
I have specialized training and experience working with neurodivergent individuals and mixed-neurotype couples, especially those struggling with what I call relational translation errors—misunderstandings that arise when partners have different cognitive styles or ways of processing. My work focuses on helping partners bridge these gaps, improve mutual understanding, and build communication patterns that honor how each person thinks, feels, and relates. I am working on certification in Sexuality and Neurodivergence from the Modern Sex Therapy Institute.
I am a Caucasian, cisgender, queer, spiritual but non-religious, and able-bodied female. I am a neurodiversity, LGBTQIA2S+, and disability affirming therapist. I work with individuals, couples, and poly relationships. I welcome people of all identities, ages, neurotypes, relationship structures, races, genders, abilities, sizes, and sexualities.
Fun Facts:
I lived in Seattle for 16 years before relocating to my hometown in Northern California in February 2025. When not in the therapy space, you can find me cracking jokes with my Boston Terrier, Dottie, or learning boundaries from my cat, Carla. I love eating delicious food, learning new things, LEGOs, music, reality tv, road trips, and a word puzzle.

Kim brings a listening ear and so much wisdom as she counsels. You can dump your stuff and she’s not phased by it. She’s a great partner in the healing process. We could all use another counseling session with Kim!
