Meet Dr. Celeste Mcclannahan

Hi, I'm Celeste

(she/her)

I am an attachment-based therapist and approved WA State Supervisor practicing from an Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) framework. I believe healing happens when we are able to go inward, feel safely held in our vulnerability, and build stronger, more secure attachment bonds with the people who matter most.

In my therapy work, I strive to create a warm, supportive space where clients can show up honestly and explore their inner world at their own pace. I am friendly, non-judgmental, and affirming of LGBTQIA+ individuals, first responders (including police and military), and faith-based clients, while remaining culturally sensitive and open to ongoing learning. My goal is for you to feel deeply respected, understood, and supported as we work toward meaningful change together.

In addition to working with clients, I offer clinical supervision for therapists and interns. I bring the same attachment-focused, emotionally attuned approach into supervision, creating a safe and supportive environment to explore clinical challenges, strengthen your therapeutic identity, and grow with confidence and curiosity. My supervision blends evidence-informed training with reflective practice, ethical nuance, and genuine human connection. With advanced training in Emotionally Focused Therapy, AASECT-certified sex therapy, and certified first responder counseling, I support a wide range of clinical interests and professional goals.

Outside of my clinical and supervision work, I am an author who enjoys writing about attachment, healing, and emotional connection. Fun facts: I’m not very good at bowling—but I love it enough to be in a social league—and I’ve been crocheting for over a decade.

Kim brings a listening ear and so much wisdom as she counsels. You can dump your stuff and she’s not phased by it. She’s a great partner in the healing process. We could all use another counseling session with Kim!
