Meet Clarice Boone
Hi, I'm Clarice Boone
(she/her)
My approach is relational and somatic. I utilize eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), attachment theory, emotionally focused therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and somatic therapies to cultivate insight, build a deeper connection to yourself and others, and develop a stronger foundation to live a life you desire. My goal as a therapist is to promote curiosity, create a secure base, and laugh a little bit along the way.
In our sessions, I incorporate your lived experience and intersecting identities to understand the person you are. I practice from an anti-oppressive, trauma-informed, sex-positive, kink-affirming, multicultural, and social justice lens. With the recognition of my White, cisgender, femme identity, I am dedicated and passionate about exploring my racial identity, unlearning bias, and dismantling White supremacy.
I work with individuals, relationships of all structures, folx living with HIV, and the 2SLGBTQIAAP+ community.
Fun facts: I grew up in Missouri and have lived in Seattle since 2016. Outside of therapy, I spend my time thrifting vintage, cooking, baking, and spending time with loved ones and my cat Eleanor. I enjoy horror films, reality dating shows, listening to early 2000s emo music, learning, and traveling.

Clarice is contracted with the WA state Early Intervention Program (EIP).
Clarice has been working with folx living with HIV since 2018 and will now be continuing to offer care and support to this community. EIP is “a program within HIV Client Services, at the Washington State Department of Health” that assists people living with HIV in affording out-of-pocket medical and dental costs, insurance premiums, and prescriptions. This includes mental health care! Although EIP is not insurance, it works as a secondary coverage. For folx without primary insurance, they will cover the full cost for HIV related care.

Kim brings a listening ear and so much wisdom as she counsels. You can dump your stuff and she’s not phased by it. She’s a great partner in the healing process. We could all use another counseling session with Kim!
