I am a master’s degree candidate with Antioch University Seattle, specializing in Couple and Family Therapy and Sex Therapy. My undergraduate degree was in Gender, Sexuality, Women’s studies at University of California Davis.
I believe that therapy must be holistic and person-centered to match our unique set of lived experiences and strengths. Because of this, I gravitate towards a strengths-based lens and incorporate aspects of the mind, spirit, and body throughout my work with clients to the degree you are comfortable with.
I always welcome conversations around power and privilege as I believe these aspects are ever-present to our problems and lives. My theoretical approach is driven by narrative therapy, attachment work, and emotion-focused therapy. What all this means is that I whole-heartedly believe that people possess the resources to effect change in their lives, and I would be honored to join you in that journey of change!
I want to say how proud I am for you taking these first steps in looking for a therapist! If you are feeling nervous about therapy, that is okay! I hope to meet you wherever you are at, in a collaborative approach. I am always open to feedback in all facets, so that you feel satisfied in our work together.
Fun Facts: I foster cats and kittens, and I am an avid reality tv show watcher!
