Washington State
Telehealth only
I am a relational and individual therapist focusing on couples, polycules, and families. I am trained in sex therapy but I also enjoy working with clients who are seeking support for issues beyond sexual concerns.
I believe my clients are the experts of their own lives at any age. For that reason, my approach to therapy is highly collaborative. My hope is to provide a judgement free space where you can explore yourself and your relationships without shame. I work to provide a space where clients feel safe, held, and seen when the outside world can be so harsh. We will thoughtfully pursue the changes that brought you to seek therapy, while remaining open to whatever else might come up during the process.
I intentionally approach each of my clients with theory(ies) that matches their definition of the problem and worldview. Except for in instances of brief therapy, we will likely spend some time exploring your family of origin, trauma history, connection to your body, and your current level of sexual satisfaction. Statistics show that the most important element of therapy is the relationship between therapist and client(s). Therefore, I will check in frequently about how therapy is feeling, what is working for you, and what is not.
I identify as a White, cis-gendered, queer, millennial woman. I am also able-bodied, middle-class, and non-religious. The identities I hold shape how I see the world and inevitably, our work together. As part of our therapeutic work, we'll discuss our shared and differing identities and how those perspectives can help or hinder our work together. While I will broach the topic, I always allow the client to lead how much identity work is part of the therapeutic space. I provide care that is anti-racist, body-positive, disability allied, and trans-identity affirming.
Fun Facts: love to travel, most recently having visited Southern India (Mysore) for a wedding. I love a good cup of coffee but can get the jitters if I don't stay attentive to my caffeine intake!
